The Dubai Public Prosecution has referred an officer of the Dubai
International Airport to the Court of Misdemeanors after he was charged
with breaching the privacy of football superstar Lionel Messi, when the
latter visited Dubai recently.
‘Emarat Al Youm’ newspaper reports that Argentine and Barcelona player’s
passport was filmed by the officer on his mobile phone and then posted
on social media.
The Public Prosecution charged the officer with breaching the privacy of
Messi, posting the video and pictures on Snapchat and making
inappropriate comments. The officer will be tried under Federal Penal
Code.
Messi was in Dubai to attend the opening of the 10th edition of the Dubai Sports Conference.
