A corporate Twitter account for fast food chain McDonald's was seemingly hacked earlier today (16 March), after a tweet was sent calling US President Donald Trump a "disgusting excuse for a President" and demanding Barack Obama's return.

The tweet was deleted roughly 20 minutes after it was sent at 1.16pm GMT, but had already been screen-grabbed and widely shared across social media.

Trump to sign new immigration order

Donald Trump is to sign a new executive order on immigration later on Monday, his aide Kellyanne Conway has said.
A revised order has been expected from the White House since the earlier ban was blocked by a federal court.The previous order suspended the entire US refugee resettlement programme and blocked citizens of seven Muslim-majority nations from entering the US.

Former Atiku’s spokesperson killed while fleeing armed robbery

A former Managing Director of Daily Times Nigeria Plc, Adinoyi Ojo Onukaba, is dead. He was aged 57.
Mr. Onukaba, who was also a former spokesperson to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, died at about 6p.m. on Sunday at a village near Akure, Ondo State capital.

Police in the western Indian state of Maharashtra have found 19 aborted female foetuses near a hospital.
Senior police officials in Sangli district said the remains were "buried with the intention of disposing them".

New Chelsea stadium given approval by Mayor of London

Chelsea's plans for a £500 million redevelopment of Stamford Bridge have been approved by the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.

The state-of-the-art new stadium, which has a proposed capacity of 60,000, was backed by Hammersmith and Fulham council in January, but the Mayor's support was needed to formalise the approval into full planning consent.

A woman has claimed seatbelts are "racist to fat people" as her size prevents her from being able to wear the legally required safety strap.
The anonymous woman from New Zealand was filmed driving without wearing her seatbelt because she "can't fit it", and has said the police are "racist" toward overweight people if they give her a fine for not wearing the legally required safety strap.

Earthquake hits off Papua New Guinea

An earthquake of 6.5 magnitude struck off the south coast of Papua New Guinea on Monday (Mar 6), the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.
There was no Pacific-wide tsunami threat from the quake that struck east of Lae, just off the southern coast of the PNG island of New Britain, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said.

BREAKING: Fresh 24-hour curfew declared in Southern Kaduna towns

The Kaduna State Security Council has imposed a 24-hour curfew in Jema’a and Kaura Local Government Areas of Kaduna State with immediate effect.
Gunmen invaded different communities in the two local governments of Southern Kaduna, within 24 hours, killing at least 14 people and destroying several properties.

Shark Mauls man to death off Reunion Island after ignoring danger warnings

Alexandre Naussance, 26, who was once employed as a shark spotter by a surfing association, was attacked while bodyboarding off the northeast coast of the French territory in the Indian Ocean.


He was pulled out of the water by fishermen but pronounced dead after the animal bit through a major artery in his leg.

Nigerian Woman on a Tourist Visa leaves NHS England with huge debt of £350,000 after giving birth to twins

A Nigerian woman who flew to the UK to give birth to twins left the NHS with an unpaid bill of almost £350,000.

The woman, who has not been identified, had a Caesarean section in 2015 at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital, and her twins then needed to be in an intensive care ward.
 The hospital confirmed the treatment cost £348,683.
