Diego Costa's career would be over if he moves to China, warns former Chelsea star Ray Wilkins

Diego Costa's career would be finished if he decides to leave Chelsea for the Chinese Super League, according to former Blues midfielder Ray Wilkins.

The Spanish striker's Stamford Bridge future is up in the air after he was left out of the Premier League leader's squad for the 3-0 win over Leicester this weekend, amid rumours of a big-money offer from Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian.

Costa complained of a back complaint, but the club's physio staff insisted he was fit.
And Wilkins believes that if the 28-year-old was to make the move to China, it would mean he is admitting his career is finished.

"If it’s financial, and he wants to move to China, then I don’t quite understand it to be perfectly honest," Wilkins told Sky Sports' Premier League Daily .
