Manchester United have received a much-needed injury boost after Marcos Rojo and Antonio Valencia returned to training with the first-team.
Rojo
has not played in over two months due to a dislocated shoulder while
Valencia has been sidelined since October's Manchester derby with a foot
injury.
Louis van Gaal
was hopeful the pair would return this month and, with a number of
defenders still injured, the South American pair could be in contention
for tomorrow night's Europa League round-of-32 second leg against
Midtjylland.
According to Manchester Evening News, Adnan Januzaj was also back in training, however he
is cup-tied for the visit of Midtjylland. Under-21s striker Marcus
Rashford also trained with the senior side and could be on the bench for
the European tie.
Despite the South American duo's potential
availability, Chris Smalling, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, David de Gea,
Matteo Darmian, Wayne Rooney, Marouane Fellaini, Phil Jones, Ashley
Youing, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sam Johnstone, Will Keane and Luke Shaw
were absent for this morning's training session at Carrington.
Borthwick-Jackson was withdrawn at half-time in Monday night's FA Cup
win over Shrewsbury but Smalling completed the full 90. Keane is out of
the Midtjylland return tie with a groin injury.
