Buhari Fires DGs Of BPE, NAFDAC, 18 Other Parastatals

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the termination of the appointments of heads of 20 Federal Government parastatals, agencies and commissions.

 This is apart from the six heads of Federal Government-owned news outfits sacked earlier in the day.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, the sack was with immediate effect.
Among the parastatals, agencies and commissions affected are the Bureau of Public Enterprises, the National Agency for the Prohibition and Trafficking in Persons and the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control.

The statement by Lawal reads in full:
“The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate disengagement of the following Chief Executive Officers of the underlisted Parastatals, Agencies and Commissions.

“He has also approved that the most senior officers in the Parastatals, Agencies and Councils oversee the activities of the organizations pending the appointment of substantive Chief Executive Officers.

(xi) Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund)
