69 cocaine capsules recovered from arrested Nigerian man as he hoodwinked countries

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Bengaluru has arrested Emmanuel (39) on February 8 at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) for allegedly smuggling cocaine worth over Rs 6 crore and travelling overseas on fake passports and visas.
Nigerin man with the neame,Emmanuel was arrested from an Etihad Airways flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil, via Abu Dhabi.
He has deceived many immigration agencies and the Indian embassy in Namibia, which has issued him a tourist visa on his fake Namibian identity. He travelled from Brazil to Bengaluru via Abu Dhabi with 1.2 kgs of cocaine, in his gastrointestinal tract for 48 hours, worth over Rs 6 crore.

He was taken to the Victoria Hospital and the doctors managed to recover 69 capsules filled with cocaine from his stomach. The doctors said “He could have died if one of the capsules had exploded in his stomach.”

He is discharged from the hospital on Thursday and taken into police custody by the special court in the City and booked under the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act of 1985.

The officer said. “He will now be interrogated by the NCB and IB.”
