Offensive odour forces Nigerian House of Representatives to adjourn till Nov 17 2015

The House of Representatives was yesterday, adjourned abruptly due to repulsive odour that engulfed the whole lower chamber complex. It was reported that there was no running water in the environment to take care of the conveniences.
The Deputy Speaker, Yussuff Lasun, who presided, adjourned plenary till November 17 to allow overhaul of the place even as he assured that the House Committee on Services was handling the situation.
The member representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency of Cross River State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rep Michael Etaba, had in a Point of Order lamented that the entire environ was full of offensive odour and that water was not running in his office.
He also told his colleagues that the chamber was not conducive as a result of the stench.
But responding, the Deputy Speaker said that the situation was being handled by the House Services Committee, but after exhausting motions on the order paper, the House adjourned to Tuesday.
With all the money they are stealing, they can even keep their office clean. Nigerians are waiting to hear that a contract of 1B Naira was awarded to bring water to the complex. Everything is possible in my country
