Former Atiku’s spokesperson killed while fleeing armed robbery

A former Managing Director of Daily Times Nigeria Plc, Adinoyi Ojo Onukaba, is dead. He was aged 57.

Mr. Onukaba, who was also a former spokesperson to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, died at about 6p.m. on Sunday at a village near Akure, Ondo State capital.

BREAKING: Fresh 24-hour curfew declared in Southern Kaduna towns

The Kaduna State Security Council has imposed a 24-hour curfew in Jema’a and Kaura Local Government Areas of Kaduna State with immediate effect.

A Nigerian woman who flew to the UK to give birth to twins left the NHS with an unpaid bill of almost £350,000.


The woman, who has not been identified, had a Caesarean section in 2015 at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital, and her twins then needed to be in an intensive care ward.
 The hospital confirmed the treatment cost £348,683.


Ph.D Graduand dies on graduation day

A doctoral degree graduand of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ilorin, Adedimeji Ahmad, died in the early hours of Saturday, before the commencement of the convocation ceremony of the institution.

2 Killed as Kano-bound train derails

A passenger train that departed Lagos for Kano derailed at Jebba in the early hours of Saturday, leaving at least two dead and many passengers injured according to reports.

The train left Lagos at 12:00 noon on Friday with dozens of passengers and consignments, a survivor said. The survivor who spoke with Premium Times on Saturday afternoon said the crash occurred after the train suffered brake failure at Jebba Train Station shortly after 7 a.m.
