Northern youths blast Biafra protesters, ask Federal Government to crush Biafra Agitation

Northern youths have been angered by the renewed move by Biafra agitators and condemned the promoters of the new agitation to resurrect Biafra and divide Nigeria.

Writing under the aegis of Arewa Youth Forum, the youths warned those behind the criminal agitation to stop and allow Nigeria to remain in peace and find solutions to it’s challenges.

According to the statement released and signed by the National President , Alhaji Gambo Gujungu, AYF said "it was highly disappointed by the treasonable move by some unscruplous elements to cause avoidable crisis in the country".

The forum use the opportunity to advise the Biafra agitatiors to watch their moves and advised the Buhari led Government to crush any move by any person(s) to divide Nigeria. Citing Boko Haram, the AYF said that FGN need to be on alert to prevent the same havoc being created by Boko Haram instead of crushing the insurgents as the law stipulated.

Worried about the incessant protests in the South Eastern Part of Nigeria, where the youths have taken to the streets to demand the release of the Leader of Independent Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, as well as creation of Biafra, the AYF took it stand and condenmed this development and opined that it is being carried out in bad faith.

According to Vanguard, the AFY reiterated that they are apostles of one indivisible Nigeria and will continue to work across the length and breadth of the country to engender peace, unity and progress for all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, religion and region.

“It is because of this that we are calling on all Nigerians to remain anywhere they are in the country. We specifically callon our brothers and sisters from the south east to remain anywhere they are in the north as they will be adequately protected and we will make sure that nothing happens to them.
