The latest craze on the internet. The #condomchallenge.

First it was the respectable #icebucketchallenge, then the #nomakeupselfie – now the internet is bracing itself for the latest phenomenon: the #condomchallenge.

Starting in Japan the first rubber video clip posted earlier this month reached almost a quarter of a million views on YouTube.

Challengers simply fill a condom with water, get a mate to hold it at the opening and drop it onto their head.

Those caught on camera appear to stay dry for several seconds, taking on a fishbowl-face appearance, before the rubber bursts.

All over the world pranksters are dropping full-to-the-brim condoms on top of their head – with hilarious results.
                         

The contraceptive craze has gone viral with teens from all over the globe joining in the fun and taking to social media to post their videos.
