Nigerian man docked after allegedly pretending to be a doctor in Limpopo South Africa
Aberie Nwafor, a Nigerian man who allegedly pretended
to be a doctor at a Limpopo hospital, was expected to apply for bail in
the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.Nwafor was arrested on Friday at a mall in Polokwane, along with his
wife Amara and his apparently fake lawyer Farida Mall after they
allegedly tried to bribe Home Affairs officials and undercover police
with R50,000.
The alleged bribe was for his 14 passports to be released.Investigators said Nwafor's passports, which were believed to be fake, were confiscated in August by the police.Nwakor,
who apparently arrived in South Africa 15 years ago, allegedly had fake
qualifications and a fake medical practice number.
