A desperate husband hacked his father-in-law with a sword for not letting him have his wife stay with him.
According to a report in ‘Mawbima’, the victim had found his daughter
a job abroad sent the woman to earn a living. This reportedly didn’t go
well with her husband.
He regularly argued with his father-in-law demanding that he call her back.
One day, the argument turned serious and he grabbed a sword and hacked the elderly person and fled the scene.
Neighbours rushed him to Colombo National Hospital with severe injuries.
Investigations continue to nab the suspect.
