School stabbing: Southfields Academy in Wandsworth Google Street view |
The victim was allegedly stabbed in the leg just after 3pm. The Met Police said of the charged teenager: “He has been remanded in custody to appear at Wandsworth Magistrates' Court on next week” Also, Metropolitan police confirmed that “3 other teenage boys [A - 16yrs, B -15yrs and C -14 yrs] who were arrested on suspicion of GBH have been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late November.”
He is the 16th teenager to be stabbed in London this year if my statistics is right. It is a different story because he survived according to the statement issued by his school "Our student suffered a stab wound and is currently being treated in hospital. Fortunately, he is expected to make a full recovery and we are supporting him and his family in every way we can."
This is to show how fast this virus called Knife crime is eating deep into the society. when 14, 15, and 16 year olds are resorting to knife crime even attacking other teenager in school. How far can we go? Sensitisation is needed. Mere talking is not enough.
It was a horrific day in Essex, as the Police confirmed the death of 27 year old man known Ladi Benson. Police said he was brutally stabbed on 10th November 2015,during an "altercation" on the residential Baddow Road, at the junction with Longfields Road, shortly before 7pm as commuters made their way home from work.
A short time later, a group of men accompanying the victim flagged down paramedics on Broomfield Road - about two miles away on the other side of the city.
Still in the same Essex, a second man, aged 22, was stabbed at 11.58pm last night, and was also taken to Broomfield Hospital. According to Mirror UK, in December last year the city of Chelmsford was stunned when 18-year-old Ashley Wooley was stabbed to death by his classmate in Oaklands Park.
Steven Davenport, 18, of Hillside Grove, Chelmsford, admitted stabbing Ashley Woolley to death and was sentenced to a minimum term of 18 years in July this year.
