Three men arrested shortly before Remembrance Sunday had plotted to carry out a Lee Rigby-style beheading, a court has heard.

The trio was acting on a "truly chilling" fatwa from the so-called Islamic State, calling on Muslims to arm themselves and attack "disbelieving" Westerners.
Cousins Nadir Syed, 22, and Yousaf Syed, 20, along with Haseeb Hamayoon, 28, deny planning acts of terrorism between 20 September and 7 November last year. Two men accused of plotting a Lee Rigby-style beheading inspired by a murderous Islamic State fatwa had previously tried to travel to Syria, a court was told.
Nadir Syed, 22, from Southall, west London, was stopped as he tried to board a plane to Turkey early last year, with officers picking him up as he was on bail for a public order offence at the time. His cousin Yousef Syed, 20, from High Wycombe, made it no further than Turkey - but prosecutors told Woolwich Crown Court they believe both men intended to join Islamic State in war-torn Syria.
The jury heard that a third traveller, Luqman Warsame, successfully made it to Syria and continued to communicate with the cousins back in Britain.
Max Hill QC, prosecuting, said the Syeds exchanged messages mocking those killed in the 9/11 terror attacks, as well as graphic images of some of those killed by so-called Islamic State militants - including the beheadings of journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff and British aid worker Alan Henning.
They, along with Haseeb Hamayoon, 28, of Hayes, London, are accused of preparing an act of terrorism, using knives against those attending Remembrance Sunday events.
Mr Hill said the trio communicated via e-mail extensively and almost daily, praising those who committed terror attacks.
Nadir Syed agreed that Adebolajo is a "diamond geezer" and described Numan Haider - who stabbed an Australian police officer - as a "martyr".
The men all deny the charges. The trial continues.
