Detectives have appealed for information after assault in Waveney Road area of the town
A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in
Ballymena - while police have arrested two people in connection with the
incident.
The 30-year-old man was stabbed in the Waveney Road area of Ballymena this yesterday.
A man, aged 33, and a 23-year-old woman have been arrested. Police were alerted to the incident by ambulance crews at around 1pm.
The victim was located in a flat and was taken to hospital where his condition this evening is described as serious.
The two arrested remain in custody at present assisting police with their enquiries.
Detective Inspector Chris Millar is asking anyone who was in the area, or anyone with information that could assist the investigation, to get in touch with Detectives in Ballymena by calling 101.
Meanwhile, a man in his 30s is in a "very serious condition" in hospital after being stabbed in West Belfast earlier today .
Police are on the hunt for the assailant, while parts of the street remain cordoned off by detectives this evening.
