Over the years, Rob Kardashian has had a well-documented battle with
the limelight, becoming a recluse and opting out of appearing in the
most recent series’ of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
However,
it would seem that he isn’t as cut off from his famous family as it
might appear, with the 28-year-old reportedly offering to donate a
kidney to his brother-in-law, Lamar Odom.
Lamar was found unconscious in a brothel a couple of weeks back and
although he is recovering, there is still a lot of concern around his
health with it being reported that he is in need of a kidney transplant.
Upon hearing of the former NBA star’s health battle, Rob is apparently keen to do whatever he can to aid his recovery.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Rob is willing to do whatever it takes
to help Lamar recover. If that means donating a kidney then so be it,
Rob has a big heart and he’s willing to step up to help his friend.”
A touching thought, however, Rob still needs to undergo tests to determine whether or not he is a match for Lamar.
It is currently being reported that whilst Lamar waits for a suitable
donor he is undergoing six hours of dialysis a day - which is a process
to remove waste and excess water from the blood and is primarily used
as an artificial replacement for lost kidney function.
Here’s
hoping that Rob is a match for Lamar and is able to go ahead with the
transplant - to be honest, it sounds as though Lamar really couldn’t
have asked for better in-laws.
