Disabled man wins America's Next Top Model

Tyra Banks' famous show America's Next Top Model crowned it's final winner on Friday after it was revealed the show will not return for another season.
And since the show started allowing male models to compete in 2013, the last two years have both been won by men.

This year, though, was won by New Yorker Nyle Dimarco who also happens to be the show's first deaf contestant.

The 26-year-old beat Mamé Adjei in the final but was sworn to secrecy after filming had ended.
To ensure he didn't spill the beans, he flew off to Hawaii for a three-week vacation.

But now the episode has aired, DiMarco – who is also an actor – has spoken out about how he wanted to help people overcome their perceptions of deaf people.

Obviously, being announced as the winner proves that he was a worthy competitor.

Only once did he feel disadvantaged because of his disability. He told the Mail Online: "There was only one time where I felt that I had a true disadvantage: The night shoot during the camping trip.

Congrats!!!
