But last night campaign group Human Rights Watch expressed “concerns” about the factory worker’s safety following his arrest.
Spokesman Brad Adams said: “The police, the military and the corrections department have all denied knowledge of Thanakorn’s whereabouts, raising grave concerns for his safety.”
A Thai police spokesman said that Thanakorn had been detained by the military under a sweeping security provision that allows detention without charge for seven days.
