Deadly car crash claims 10 lives in Plateau State Nigeria
Ten people were killed Tuesday afternoon in a car crash along Payam
Shendam road in Mangu local Government Area of central Plateau state,
police said.
A witness said a truck crushed a fully loaded commercial Toyota
Sienna travelling from Jos to Shendam, and killed all occupants of the
smaller car.

A small plane crashed Tuesday off an island in eastern Quebec, killing seven people, Quebec provincial police said.
Among those killed was former federal cabinet minister and political commentator Jean Lapierre.

A Lugbe Grade 1 Area Court in Abuja on Wednesday sentenced a
20-year-old student, John Onoja, to three months in prison for snatching
a bag.
Onoja, who resides at Lugbe Zone 9, Abuja, was convicted after he pleaded guilty to the charge of theft. The Judge, Mr Garba Ogbede, however, gave the convict an option of N5,000 fine and warned him to desist from crime in future.

Malaysia narcotic agents said drug gangs, including those from
Nigeria no longer favour trafficking drugs with mules. They have opted
for more creative ways by concealing the illicit products inside cargo.

Building collapses in Ogun, kills pregnant mother, 5-year-old daughter
A pregnant woman, Kafayat Somoye, and her five-year-old daughter,
were on Thursday killed when a ramshackle building at Onifufu/Aderupaba
compound in Oke-Ijeun area of Abeokuta, caved in on them.
A witness said the mother was taking her child, Ganiyat, and her brother, Ganiyu, to school, when a cracked wall of the building located near their home suddenly collapsed and fell on the duo.

closing five prions, on top of the 19 they already shut down, as the
crime rate continues to fall, reported Sputnik news.

Nigerian court on Friday jailed 14 foreign sailors from Russia, Ukraine,
Philippine and Japan between two and five years for unlawful dealing in
