The baby, who was delivered late yesterday is being treated in the intensive care unit of the country's largest hospital in Dhaka for breathing difficulties.
The news born has become a sensation as thousands of people who are thrilled by the news troop in to catch a glimpse of the newborn miracle baby in the east of Dhaka. A similar was also born in Bangladesh with two heads in 2008 but later died.
Her father Jamal Mia, a farm labourer, described being "awestruck" when he first saw his new baby.
Abu Kawsar, owner of the Standard Hospital of Total Healthcare where the baby was born, said initial tests showed she only has one set of vital organs.
"Except for having two heads, the newborn has the rest of her organs and limbs like a normal newborn," he said.
