Little girl mistakes shopper for Santa - and he plays along

Robert Riley and his little daughter Sophie were doing some shopping in Walmart in Hurricane, West Virginia when Sophie happened to notice someone who looked very familiar.

Posting on Facebook, Robert said Sophie did some investigating, sneaking around the aisles until she got up the courage to go ask the man if he was, in fact, Santa.

"I’ve been called a lot worse," the man joked before getting down on one knee to talk to Sophie about her Christmas tree and discuss what cookies she would leave out for him and the reindeer on Christmas Eve.

The video has gone viral since Robert posted it to Facebook and it seems Santa goes by another name Roger Larck, who was doing some shopping with his wife Robin.

On Facebook, Robin posted that her husband grows the beard around this time every year ready for his important Christmas work lol!

His daughter Jessica commented that her dad "is very kind-hearted and absolutely loves when kids believe that he is Santa".
