A young woman in Chattisgarh, India, was taken to hospital when she complained of labour pains at 26 weeks of pregnancy.
There doctors found the 25-year-old was carrying not one but five babies. Weighing just over 3lbs each, the newborn girls are in the intensive care unit.
It was also the first case for the doctors at the hospital, wherein five babies were delivered through normal birth, reported ‘Metro’.
The couple had lost their first child – a boy – immediately after birth two years ago.
