Former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o has urged incoming boss Antonio Conte to bring the glory days back to Stamford Bridge.
The Italian’s appointment was confirmed last week, with the
46-year-old due to arrive in West London following Italy’s participation
in the Euro 2016 finals.
Eto’o, who spent the 2013/14 season at the Bridge under Jose
Mourinho. The Cameroon legend made 21 appearances, and scored nine times
for the club.
Asked what advice he would give to Conte, the 35-year-old was quick
to highlight the manager’s credentials, before adding that he hoped to
see the good times return at to Stamford Bridge.
“A great manager like Conte doesn’t need my advice,” said the former
Blues striker. “He showed he is one of the best in World football.”
