Couple jailed after spraying acid over a carer's face in an unprovoked road rage attack.

Ashley Russell, 30, and his driver Christina Storey, 32, were convicted today after blocking Darren Pidgeon's car in and then splashing the corrosive liquid through his passenger window.
Russell interrupted the judge by shouting "not guilty all the way, know what I mean?" as he was handed a 17-year term immediately after the jury verdict.

Storey wept as she was slapped with an eight-year prison term.
Judge John Lodge told Russell: "You went out armed with a wicked weapon – containing acid.

"There can be no justifiable reason for having that weapon."
A Basildon Crown Court trial heard how Storey's red Rover blocked Mr Pidgeon's grey Citroen C4 in at the end of a cul-de-sac in Wickford on June 3, 2014.

Storey's passenger Russell marched up to Mr Pidgeon's passenger window, shouted words to the effect of "have you got a problem" before splashing the acid.
