UEFA Europa League Semi-final and final draws, Nyon, Switzerland

Europa League Semi Finals have got a star-studded line-up… four teams who have fought so hard to make it to this phase of the competition.

They all want to keep going and make it to the final which takes place at Basel’s Sankt-Jakob Park on the 18th of May.

Giorgio Marchetti, UEFA director of competitions: "Yesterday night, we could live some of the strongest emotions that football can offer. The atmosphere in the stadiums was tremendous and we have to pay tribute also to the teams that contested the qualification until the very last minute or penalties but were finally eliminated."

First Semi Finals: FC Shaktar Donetsk VS FC Sevilla (20-04-2016)

Second Semi Finals: Villarreal CF VS Liverpool FC (20-04-2016)
Liverpool have had three previous semi-finals against Spanish sides in the UEFA Cup/UEFA Europa League, most recently an away-goals defeat by Atlético Madrid in 2010. They beat Barcelona by the odd goal the previous two times, in 2001 and 1976 – they went on to lift the trophy both times.
 

Finals Winner of Second Semi Finals VS Winner of First Semi Finals (18-05-2016)
Sevilla beat Ukrainian opposition in last season's final, defeating Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 3-2 in Warsaw to win the trophy for a fourth time. They will need to overcome Shakhtar to become the first side to ever win the UEFA Europa League three times in a row.
