Tennessee Gun Store Offers Gun Discounts to Christians: ‘We Need to Protect Ourselves’

Christians feel threatened after the recent Umpqua Community College shooting in Oregon. A Tennessee gun shop owner decided to offer discounts on guns to Christians, claiming that they require guns to better protect themselves.

Instead of reducing the amount of guns in circulation, Brant Williams thinks it is a better idea to sell more guns to untrained individuals.

“If Christians are going to be targeted, we need to protect ourselves,” said Williams to Knoxville’s WVLT. “The best way to protect yourself is with the best weapon available, and that happens to be a handgun.” Tennessee’s Republican Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey supported gun ownership following the UCC shooting. He called on Christians to arm themselves.
