However, to fans' delight, the 36-year-old was reunited with his former on-screen wife Emilia Clarke - who plays Daenerys Targaryen - during Paris Fashion Week.
And the 28-year-old actress
shared an adorable snap of her cuddling with the actor - who her character
would affectionately call 'my sun and stars' - on her Instagram account on
Saturday.
She's wearing a stylish,
long-sleeved black and pink striped dress in the photo, and a pair of dangling
earrings.
Her short, brunette tresses are
styled straight, and she can be seen throwing her head back in laughter as she
sits upon Jason's lap.
He is looking up at her and
laughing as well, and can be seen sporting a fitted, short-sleeved white shirt.
The two seem absolutely thrilled
to be reunited in the photo, which Emilia captioned: 'Well I guess the sun
rises in the west and sets in the east then huh? Paris fashion week just kicked
off....! #Momoaloveforlifebaby #nomorebeerleftinparis #bestdresseddothraki.'
The HBO star was referring to
some of her character's tearfully-delivered last words to Khal Drogo in the
Game of Thrones season one finale.
As Daenerys bid farewell to her
love, she cried: 'When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east, then you
shall return to me, my sun and stars.'
Jason also shared his love for
Emilia, posting a series of four photos gushing about the actress on his Instagram
account.
He affectionately referred to her
as her character's title on the series - Khaleesi, the Dothraki term for queen.
'My khalessi @emilia_clarke When
she smiles at you.......,' he gushed alongside one photo, later writing that
the star was 'to f****** cute.'
