Former
president Goodluck Jonathan has dedicated the African sun times’ international
person of the year award to Nigerians
While
accepting and responding to the award on his Facebook page, the former
president said he remain thankful to the publishers of the African sun times
for honoring him
He said
he believes that the Nigerian people are more deserving of the honor, for
putting to shame naysayers and prophets of doom in 2015, as the country held
what has been described as the most transparent, violence free and credible
elections.
After APC won the 2015 presidential election, it helped to transfer power from one political party to another and from
an incumbent to the opposition, without rancor, bitterness or strife.
Jonathan
said that in the process, Nigerians supported him to prove that nobody’s
political ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian.
The
African sun times, Africa’s number one and largest newspaper in America, on
Monday announced Jonathan as its international person of the year.
