Veteran pundit Mark Lawrenson tickled Match of the Day viewers on
Saturday night when he accidentally called Everton winger Steven Pienaar
‘penis’.
The slip came as former Liverpool defender Lawrenson, who has been appearing on the show for some 20 years, provided analysis of Everton's FA Cup victory over Dagenham & Redbridge.
Host Gabby Logan and fellow pundit Trevor Sinclair were seen
smirking, and struggling not to laugh, as Lawro said: "Jagielka's back,
as we saw today, obviously Mirallas, penis."
It was an honest mistake as Lawrenson attempted to mention the return to fitness of Belgian international Steven Pienaar, who featured in the match.
After the show, both Logan and Sinclair took to social media where they made light of the comical moment.
