Facebook pays $10,000 to 10-year-old Instagram hacker

Social media giant Facebook has paid a $10,000 reward to a 10-year-old Finnish boy for finding a glitch in its picture sharing app Instagram.

Jani, whose last name was not released for privacy reasons, is the youngest ever recipient of Facebook's "bug bounty", paid to users who find bugs or weaknesses in its platforms.

Tupac Shakur's mother, Afeni Shakur, dies at age 69

The mother of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur, Afeni Shakur, has died at the age of 69. The Marin County Sheriff’s Department in California confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that Shakur died late Monday night.

Deputies responded to a report of possible cardiac arrest at 9:34 p.m. at Afeni's home in Sausalto, the sheriff’s office said. She was taken to a local hospital, where she died at 10:28 p.m, the Atlanta.

Eight Nigerians and a Sri Lankan couple arrested in drug raid

Police have arrested eight Nigerian nationals and two Sri Lankans during a raid for possession of cocaine, the police said.

The Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) and the Special Task Force (STF) arrested the eight Nigerians and the Sri Lankan husband and wife in a joint operation conducted on Sunday in Mount Lavinia and Kelaniya areas.

The suspects, who are residents of Colombo, were in the possession of 222 grams of cocaine, the police said. They have been detained at the PNB.
