BREAKING NEWS: Aba grounded over Kanu. FGN given Ultimatum for the release of Nnamdi Kanu

The Indigenous People of Biafra protest crept into Aba earlier today, grounding the city regarded as the heartbeat of the South East.

The protest came just a  faction of the separatist group, Move­ment for the Ac­tualization of the Sovereign States of Biafra (MASSOB) has issued a one week ultimatum to the Fed­eral Government to imme­diately release the detained Director of Radio Biafra and Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, or face severe sanctions.

As of Saturday, no fewer than three videos were seen on the online video sharing platform, YouTube, in which some Igbo denounced their citizenship of the country and declared their allegiance to Biafra.

‘DSS secretly arraigned Radio Biafra boss, Nnamdi Kanu’

Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu,who was arrested at Golden Tulip Hotel in Lagos by the Department of State  Service,DSS, after he returned from  the   United Kingdom has been granted bail by the Abuja Municipal Council Magistrate court where he was secretly arraigned by the DSS. He is, however, yet to fulfill his bail conditions.

According to the Indigenous People of Biafra’s lawyer,  Mr. Egechukwu Obetta, “Nnamdi was put in the same cell with terrorists. He has  a health challenge  which is life threatening. He is sensitive to delicacies. He told us that he will never eat any food served by the Federal Government of Nigeria.“

Breaking: Radio Biafra Director, Nnamdi Kanu reportedly arrested

Director of pirate radio, Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, was on Saturday, reportedly arrested by Nigeria secret police, the Department of State Services (DSS).

Kanu, who is also acclaimed to be the Director of Biafra Television and the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was said to have been arrested in Lagos, yesterday.

The Deputy Director of Radio Biafra, Uche Mefor, alongside other members of the group, in a marathon broadcast on the pirate radio, alleged that Kanu was arrested in Lagos by the security operatives, as he flew into Nigeria from his base in the UK.
