Window cleaners left hanging on 71st floor of US skyscraper

Fire fighters have staged a dramatic rescue of two window cleaners who were left trapped and hanging precariously outside the 71st floor of a tower block in Houston, Texas.
The cleaners were stuck for more than 40 minutes in a rig listing at a sharp 45-degree angle near the top of the 75-floor JPMorgan Chase Tower, according to US news reports.
At over 1,000 feet high, the skyscraper is the tallest building in Texas - and among the highest within the entire US.
The city's fire department reported a platform motor on the cleaning rig cut out as the duo worked just four floors from the roof.

The men immediately called for help, but almost immediately one of the wires holding up the rig snapped, leaving it hanging at an angle over the steep drop.

Fire fighters cut out one of the windows alongside the rig before carefully puling the two men inside to safety, the ABC 13 news channel reported.
Neither of the men was injured.
