Manchester City star unhurt after private jet he's on board 'skids off runway'

PREMIER League star Vincent Kompany narrowly escaped injury after the passenger jet he was on board reportedly skidded off a runway during a take off attempt.
The Manchester City captain was onboard the Citation CJ2 when it came to a stop on a grass verge at Norwich Airport on Saturday (January 9).

The incident reportedly happened during a failed take off attempt.
Kompany, who is currently injured, was heading home after watching his side beat Norwich City 3-0 in the FA Cup.

He was one of five people on board, it is understood. Centreline Air confirmed one of its planes left the runway and got stuck in the mud.

The firm confirmed all crew members and passengers were “fine”. The Air Accident Investigation Branch has been informed of the incident.

Norwich Airport said the airport was closed to "fixed wing traffic" as the plane was removed.
Belgium international Kompany won the FA Cup with the Blues in 2011 before lifting the Premier League title in 2012 and 2014.
